It often happens that to enter the world of fitness we think that we have to sacrifice a lot of our time to dedicate it to training. Avoid eating a lot of things in order to have that summer body, or even the idea of looking like Sacha Fitness by not eating or eating poorly. 

So today we will talk about those 5 lies that everyone tells you about fitness and nutrition. Remember that this information is meant to help you in your process of acquiring that totally healthy body that will help you with your emotional well-being. 

What you see on the networks is not as it is painted. 

Starting with our 5 lies, we can tell you that not everything they show you through social media is true, so when we talk about getting a fully toned or defined body that you feel good about. You should know that those "stars" or "influencers" usually have gone through a very difficult process, even others have been exposed to "chemicals" in order to acquire that magazine body. 

So when we talk about the networks, there is also retouching through editing programs. Always keep in mind that taking care of your body does not have to do with sacrificing or stopping eating or even eating foods that do not really produce any benefit in your body. 

Disproving social networks is always the job of fitness consultants who usually want to benefit their clients and their respective communities.

This is translated as muscle stagnation. Muscle stagnation is a process that occurs in our body when we always train with the same weight. Which in turn leads us to always have the "same" body without getting the results we want.

Plan a workout routine that exposes the body to discomfort so that it can achieve gradual growth as the exercise progresses. 

Change weight constantly, it is recommended that every 21 days or 15 days you can make your body go up a level in terms of weight lifting, in order to push it to always perform the exercise with superior strength. 

The aim of these exercises is that you are always uncomfortable so that you can perform the training and obtain results in a short time. 

Keep in mind that all training can help you lose weight, but not everything has to be for the purpose of losing weight, remember that training must be accompanied by a healthy lifestyle.

  • eat whole food such as fresh lean proteins, whole grains, fresh products, high fiber vegetables, fruits, and whole grains,
  • cut back on processed food
  • enjoy fermented foods like plain yogurt that can benefit the microbiome
  • drink plenty of water

I can't believe it's been a week already I went on stage and received the reward for my hard work from the last couple of months.
The trophy may be shiny…
but the real reward is when the challenge is tough, and you earn the knowing that you have what it takes to be your very best.

You know what it feels like to push yourself to that next level - sometimes just holding it together, definitely letting go, and becoming completely attuned to the challenge at hand.

You know you can do difficult things.

You know you are more than capable - and ready - for the next challenge.

The material award is just that - material items.

It’s the KNOWING that is the real award.

Chase the knowing, not the “trophies.

My Fitness and Nutrition transformation

A few of the lessons I learned along the way in My Fitness and Nutrition transformation:

- Diet is KEY.

I have trained for countless competitions, Swimming, Surfing, kiteboarding World Cup, marathons, and long-distance paddleboard races. I’ve never seen my body change like this, and I’ve trained just as hard (and harder) before. The only difference was my nutrition.

- Blood sugar balance is the focus of every diet.
and with good reason. Imbalanced blood sugar levels are at the problem of many health issues, including being overweight.  When blood sugar is unbalanced, it puts us at risk for hypoglycemia, insulin resistance, or diabetes.

- The impact of stress on your body is real!
too much stress causes the adrenals to stop functioning correctly.  They either don’t generate enough cortisol or produce it at the wrong times (like when you’re trying to sleep). This leads to symptoms like feeling tired and lethargic, poor healing and recovery, aches and pains, having salt or sugar cravings, having trouble falling asleep or waking up, relying on caffeine to get through the day, etc...

- A properly functioning GI (gastrointestinal) system is critical!
In fact, we should start treating our gut with care if we are interested in weight loss, muscle gain, or overall health in general.

- Sleep is VITAL.
Less sleep potentially results not only in more body fat but also means that you’re at greater risk of heart attack, stroke, and sudden cardiac death than your pals who get plenty of snooze time (according to science).

Milk kefir is a fermented milk drink and true superfood.

As a result of the fermentation, very little lactose remains in kefir. We love it and we have some every morning for breakfast.

Everyone will benefit from the spectrum of nutrients found in milk kefir. In addition to probiotics, this includes vitamins B, K, biotin, and folic acid.

The first thing to know about milk kefir is that you need a culture (kefir grains) to make it and that getting a culture is well worth it, even if you have to buy it. We have a lot to give away for FREE, so give us a shout and we'll be happy to give you some.

Although they’re usually called grains, these little guys are actually SCOBYs or symbiotic communities of bacteria and yeast.


  • Get the grains.
  • Place your kefir grains into a jar, with 3/4 of chosen milk. You can make milk kefir from just about any kind of milk. We like to use full-fat milk.
  • Cover with a cloth and a rubber band to keep it safe from pests. The kefir likes to breathe and to be in the open air.
  • Let your jar sit at room temperature away from direct sunlight for 24 hours.


(pic above, shows kefir already fermented and ready to be strained after 24 hrs).

  • Strain kefir (as pic pics bellow) into a jar through a fine-mesh strainer. You should see the kefir curds drop into the bowl and the grains remain in the strainer.


When kefir has been fermented for a while, it begins to separate.  The clear liquid is kefir whey, a magical substance that you can use to ferment other things that may not readily ferment (fruit chutneys, condiments, etc).   If you want it to get back to a drinking consistency, simply stir it up using a non-metal implement.  We use a chopstick.

  • Save the grains and place them into a new jar (pic below). Cover in milk (last pic) and repeat the process above. Your kefir grains will multiply with every batch so Share with your friends.
  • With the strained liquid in the bowl, transfer it to a clean jar and enjoy it or store it in the refrigerator until use.



If you need to take a break, put the grains into a jar of cold milk and place it in the fridge for up to a week or so. They will hibernate without suffering any damage. When you’re ready for more kefir, reintroduce them to new milk at room temp and resume the process.

This easy jam recipe is a great mix of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory food while tasting amazing and adding a bit of sweetness to your life. How to make a delicious healing super Papaya Chia Turmeric Jam

Delicious even if you don't have a cold!  Makes 2 cups

What you need


  • 2 cups chopped fresh non GMO papaya
  • 1 squeezed lemon
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey)
  • Turmeric*
  • Cinnamon**
  • 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds***
Papaya Chia Turmeric JamPapaya Chia Turmeric Jamunnamed-3chia *Turmeric is a spice that has been used traditionally in India as disinfectant and treatment for laryngitis, bronchitis, and diabetes. Curcumin, which has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, is the most active constituent of turmeric. Turmeric may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. **Cinnamon is another powerful spice that has been used medicinally around the world for thousands of years. Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, immunity-boosting and much more. ***If anything is a superfood, it's chia seeds. They're packed with omega-3 fatty acids, rich in fiber and protein, and most important for our jam making purpose- they turn any liquid into a thick gel.


  1. Prepare the papaya: peel, remove seeds, chop into small pieces. Add grated turmeric and canella.
unnamed-1 2. Cook the fruit until it starts to break down and become syrupy (20 - 30 minutes):  Set over medium heat. Mash the fruits if you like with a potato masher.unnamed-4 3. Stir in maple syrup (or honey) and lemon juice: off the heat. Taste and add more if needed. 4. Stir in Chia Seeds. Let stand until thickened. Add more chia seeds if fruits were very juicy or if you like a thicker consistency. unnamed-5 5. Transfer to a jar once the jam has cooled to room temperature. The jam will thicken and become more set once completely chilled.unnamed-7 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ et voila ~~~~~~~~~~~~~   I couldn't wait and had to try it right away while it was still warm! A good book, a hot ginger tea, a delicious snack; the perfect combination to recover from a cold during a rainy day. unnamed-8 Mmmm delicious. bon Appetit! (makes 4 servings) 4 frozen bananas 4 Tablespoons organic natural peanut butter 1/2 cup of coconuts water or water, if needed to facilitate blending
Directions: Break the frozen bananas into chunks and toss them into a food processor. Add the almond butter and blend until the bananas break down into a soft-serve consistency. I add some coconut water (from the coconuts from my garden) to help facilitate blending.
